The Improv Cup
About the Improv Cup
The Improv Cup is a unique short-form improv festival that is about bringing together the growing improv community. Improvisers are randomly assigned onto teams with other players, building lasting bonds of fellowship while navigating a tournament that requires that they operate and entertain as a team in order to succeed.
By participating, promoting, or attending The Improv Cup every year, you ensure that every cent of every ticket sold goes directly to The Painted Turtle camp, a wonderful place that provides a summer camp experience for seriously ill children. Attendance to the camp is absolutely free to the campers and their families.
The Tenth Annual Improv Cup takes place November 15 and 16, 2019.

Event Information
Day 1
Day 1 starts at 7 PM Friday, November 15th.
During Day 1, each team will get a chance to perform in front of a panel of judges. Eight teams will move on to Day 2. The judges will score each team, and the top 6 teams will move on. The seventh team will be chosen by the audience by donation bins for the Painted Turtle. The judges will pick the top four players on non-advancing teams to form a new wildcard team, which will move on to Day 2 as the eighth team.
Day 2
Day 2 starts at 7 PM Saturday, November 16th.
The teams will be seeded into a bracket on Day 2 based on their scores from the judges on Day 1. Two teams will perform head-to-head and one team will be eliminated, and the other will move on, with the audience voting for who moves on. The tournament bracket will be posted at the theatre and here, and it will be updated as each match finishes and the votes are counted. The last team standing is the winner of The Improv Cup!
Tickets go on sale in October! Check back as the event gets closer. Tickets come in two forms: one night passes for $15 that get you into a single night of the Cup, or a $25 "All-Cup" pass that gets you into both nights.
